Production Blog: Filming day 2

Today is my second day of filming and I got a whole lot done. In summary I filmed scenes 4-8 which was a large chunk of my project. I like to get them in 4 scene intervals to make things easier. anyway, let neme get started on today's procedure. First I did my hair and changed it from short to long. Then I got into costume (the costume shown in my costume blog). Then I started with the shower scene. This scene was early in the morning and our main character juts gt out of bed to take a shower. This scene incredibly hard to film so I just set my tripod up on the floor for the first shot and climbed out of bed. Then, I propped my camera up in the edge of my brother's bed to get the wide shot a I wanted as well as the side view of me walking to the bathroom. I'm not entirely sure though if I want to include that side view shot butat least I got it for future reference. After the shower scene is the getting dressed/spam notification scene where the main character's phone gets multiple notifications in a row while she's trying to get dressed for school. For this one, I set the camera up in th same place on my brothers bed to get a good view of the closet. beforehand I already recoded the sound effects of the following: the laptop notification and banging on the door. I did this because its easier for me together the timing correct this way. Anyway while she's putting on her jacket, the laptop sound effect plays (this is after she ignores her phone). She goes to her laptop to see what its about and receives stalker-like messages from her boyfriend so she rushes to her door and locks every single one on there. This part was a little hard to get because I didn't want the  transition between my room and the living room. It'd come out choppy and awkward but im hoping a little bit of editing will fix that. Moving on from there my favorite shot of her sliding down the wall in exhaustion after realize that her boyfriend is a stalker. Suddenly the curtains start moving and she walks over to them and opens them , looking out the window in shock and letting out an audible, "Oh God..". and that's where I stopped filming for the day. below are attached images of the costume and makeup I did.

 okay so today I made used photoshop to create fake screenshots and profiles for the extra characters I'll be using in my opening. so first I started by taking screenshots of my actual instagram page on my MacBook to get a desktop view. Then, I airdropped these screenshots to mymy phone where I input them into this editing software called pics art. in PicsArt I removed the pieces of information I didn't want like the username and flower sound and edited themto customize his fake profile. I blocked out the username (which is my instagram user handle) and changed it to Megan.K (which is the main character's catfish name). Then, I blocked out the bio that I had in place to replace it with something new. In the place of the nameplate I changed it to say Megan Baby and on the third line I put NAHS as a random high school name.  Hello, my name is Shantaneil Francis. I'm currently attending Fort Lauderdale High as a 10th grader this year. This year is very important to me because I've been looking forward to taking this class since last year. One of my reasons being, I've never been the most artistic or creative person, nor have I gotten the opportunity to learn about film or media until I enrolled in Fort Lauderdale High. Another major reason I took this class is to be able to look at the progress I’ve made in this course. Genre Research: Lady Bird

 The last drama film I watched was Lady Bird. It's a Drama/Comedy and the drama side seems to shine through a lot more here. It's a narrative in the perspective of the main character, Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson. She strives to attend a prestigious college. Unfortunately, her grades aren't the best and she comes from an extremely low income family that's situation increasingly gets worse because her father lost his job. Because of her obsession with going to a prestigious university's, she's willing Tod o everything she can, including betray even her closest friend to make connections. Throughout the course of the movie she and her best friend are seen doing almost everything together but once Lady Bird sets her sight on something new, she often compromises the relationship with her best friend to get it.
