Title Research: Teen Spirit

This movie is named Teen Spirit and it sone of the movies I studied for my title research.  It was released in June of 2018 in Russia. The opening sequence lasted for about 2 minutes. Enough of background info, onto the titles. The first title that was presented gives credit to the writer and director. Then, the producer and executive producer, co-producer, director of photography, costume designer, editor and music supervisors were credited respectively. Then, the actual title of the movie was displayed. Around the middle of the sequence the credits continued, going on to attribute to the choreographer, visual effects manager, hair and makeup designer and casting director. Almost immediately after, the names of the stars in the movie also appeared as titles. Over the course of the opening, the images being prioritized are the ones of magazine covers that show the name of the film, Teen Spirit. There are about 3 or 4 magazine covers shown in the sequence of the main character being labeled as the "Teen Spirit" because she's an upcoming singer. Other prioritized images include the ones of the main character rushing through the airport in a disguise, her signing autographs in a hurry, her view counts on social media increasing and her in he studio making music. These images were so heavily prioritized to provide the audience with context of what the movie will be about; A teenage star rising in fame hoping to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. These images carry a strong positive connotation because the main character is portrayed to be loved by many based on what we've seen in the images. Next, id like to touch on the genre. The opening establishes feeling for the genre by showing the main character as a girl chasing her dreams to become a famous singer. Like most upcoming stars, they face adversity more than most people, and I think this greatly contributes to the drama genre. One strategy used to keep the audience's attention is the usage of captivating visuals. These visuals include the bright light down when she's performing on stage, her flashy magazine covers and images. This would keep the audience intrigued in the movie enough to continue watching the movie if they're into the whole bright-pop star theme. Lastly, I want to maven to the effectiveness of the technology used in this opening sequence. I think out of every single opeoing I've watched, this one used the widest variety of camera angles, shots, transitions and editing. Throughout the course of the sequence I've identified at least 4 different kinds of shots 2 angles, 2 transitions and 4 editing techniques.
