Planning Storyboard for my Music Video

 First Scene-

In this first scene, the subject is seen flipping through some magazine pages. She continues until she finds a page that says "Shut up! Count your calories!". This is the first 3 seconds of the song and the magazine page correlates with the lyrics. 

Second Scene-

In this scene, The girl walks over to her mirror and looks at herself. This will be an over the shoulder shot to capture her looking at herself in the mirror looking discourages. At this point the song lyrics say "I'll never look good in mom jeans"

Third Scene- 

The girl is now seen ripping pages out of the magazine and taping them to her mirror. this way, she can look at herself and them at the same time. 

Fourth Scene- 

In the fourth scene, the girl is sitting at her desk looking at those pictures on the mirror, thinking about how she isn't as pretty as they are. At this point there is an outfit change from the girl's everyday wear to tattered clothing. 

Fifth scene- 

She then opens up her laptop to find a text message from someone she likes that says "I wish you looked like her" with an image attached. This will be a close up shot of the computer screen so that the audience can see exactly what the image looks like. 

Sixth Scene- 

In this scene it cuts to the girl in the bathroom, straightening her hair to look more like the girl in the picture. The woman in the picture is also plastered on her bathroom mirror. 

Seventh Scene-

The lights cut out in this scene and when they come back on, the picture of the woman is gone and the words "You were never cut out for prom queen" appear on the mirror in her place. The girl now looks completely defeated.  I plan on doing a zoom shot for this scene.

Eighth Scene-

The girl then grabs some makeup items and contemplates using them to look more like the woman in the picture. 

Ninth Scene- 

Then, the girl takes a white marker and starts creating dashed lines across her face and body. This is to replicate the way that surgeons mark up their clients during a consulting or surgery. This will be a close up shot. 

Tenth Scene-

The girl starts wiping off these lines and removes the plastic wrap that she put in her cheeks to make them look fuller. She's visibly uncomfortable with all the things she's doing to herself but continues anyway.

Eleventh Scene-

In this scene there are various different shots from different angles put together to create a montage. This is to show the time passed while she does her makeup to look more like the woman in the picture. 

Twelfth Scene-

The girl looks at her mirror again to compare herself to the other girls plastered on it. The fact that she still looks like none of them makes her even more visibly unhappy. Im not sure what kind of shot I would like to use for this scene but most likely an over the shoulder.

Thirteenth Scene-

The girl is now back in front of her full length mirror to put on her dress, finalizing her attempt to look like the woman from the picture. 

Fourteenth Scene- 

This is the very last scene in the music video. The girl stands alone in her dress with tears in her eyes. This is where the lyrics end, saying "I was never cut out for prom queen".
